During a meeting of environmental groups with the agriculture minister Ibrahim Al-Shahahdeh, APN stressed the importance of studying the regulatory framework of the land use and protection, especially the agricultural land.Taking part in the meeting on April 29th, 2019, APN’s general manager Mariam Al-Jaajaa proposed organizing a consultation to define the challenges, and weaknesses in this area. She called for involving the civil society in such a consultation to come up with recommendations for action.The meeting appeared to be an all-male open discussion. Noting that, Al-Jaajaa objected to the fact that female participants did not have the opportunity to engage in the discussion and asked organizers to reconsider this matter.
