Arab Group for the Protection of Nature planted 1,000 olive trees in Wadi Al Qatar, an area that was previously used as a garbage dump but is now being rehabilitated and cultivated with forest and fruit trees that will benefit workers and residents in the area. The activity came within APN's Green Caravan program, with the support of Umniah and in cooperation with the Greater Amman Municipality. The activity saw the participation of more than 100 volunteers made up of employees from Umniah and friends of the company. Umniah staff firmly believe that planting trees today is a needed message to stimulate local community organizations in all sectors in Jordan to enhance the concept of giving and to make Jordan green. The Green Caravan program, which APN began in 2003, travels from region to region in Jordan to contribute to the greening of the country, particularly in marginalized areas
