Newlyweds Set a Noble Example by Beginning Their Lives Together with an Act of Generosity | The Arab Group for the Protection of Nature

In a unique initiative born out of love for the land, Mr Fares Ghandour and Ms Dina Shaaban have collected donations for Arab Group for the Protection of Nature (APN) in lieu of gifts for their wedding, in order to ensure the cultivation of trees and hope in Jordan and Palestine.

Speaking about the project, which targets a number of areas in Jordan (Al-Bayoudeh, Ghor Hadeitheh, and Deir Alla) APN Project manager Mohammad Qtaishat said that APN will be distributing 12 sheep and 20 beehives, constructing grapevine trellises, and planting 2,500 fruit trees; 6,000 additional fruit trees will also be planted in the area of Salfit in Palestine.  APN hopes that others follow in the footsteps of the newlyweds who are setting an example for youth to support small farmers in achieving food sovereignty.    For More photos:
