Participation in International Conference for the reconstruction of Gaza in Turkey

The largest international forum of businessmen organized by "The Arab International committee for the reconstruction of Gaza," under the auspices of Turkey was held in the Turkish city of Istanbul in the period between June 17 and 19.

it was held with the participation of more than a thousand businessmen and trade union and human rights figures from various Arab, Islamic and European countries.APN's participation in this conference was a confirmation of the need to focus on the agricultural sector in the reconstruction process, as the building construction does not sustain without the land and Human building.

APN organized on the sidelines of the conference a workshop on agricultural development aid to Gaza, headed by the agricultural sleeve in Jordan Abdul Hadi Falahat. Engineer Razan Zuaiter spoke of practical proposals that received a response from representatives of institutions who have promised to support these proposals, and she had requested from the gatherers for more attention to rehabilitation of the agricultural sector and allocating a portion of the amount appropriated to support the Gaza planting one million trees instead of those that were uprooted during the recent years. She also requested the addition of home garden for every home rebuilt possible as it provides the minimum food requirements for the families of Gaza to achieve food security for them and support their steadfastness in front of the unjust blockade.

The conference adopted the reconstruction of 450 development, housing and educational projects in the Gaza strip at a cost of $ 345 million. Two members of the Governing Council of APN, Razan Zuaiter Sri Zuaiter, have donated designing a school and parks across the Gaza coast through their respective institutions.

The conference declared at its end a Gaza construction stock campaign at 100 euros per share to enable the largest sector of the public to contribute to reconstruction projects.
