APN and the Kuwaiti Zakat House Planted 13,500 Trees all Over Palestine

In a four-month effort, The Arab Group for the Protection of Nature successfully planted 13,500 trees all over Palestine, with the support of the Kuwaiti Zakat House, which demonstrates the permanent position of the people of Kuwait in supporting the rights of the Palestinian people.

APN holds a workshop focused on People Led Research Training 

 The Arab Group for the Protection of Nature launched , the “People Led Research Training” (PRT) workshop on November 23rd, 2021, along with the Asia Pacific Research Network (APRN), Arab NGO Network for Development (ANND), in cooperation with the People's Coalition on Food Sovereignty (PCFS). This workshop was attended by members of civil society organizations in West Asia and North Africa. 

APN Provides a Strong Hand in Supporting People Affected by the Jordanian Valley Fires (2021)

Over the past months, APN offered various kinds of support to affected farmers ranging from supplying new irrigation networks to replanting more than 3 thousand trees on their burned lands over the course of frequent rounds of cooperations with a group of supporters during this year.

Eng. Zuayter Gives a Lecture About MTC Program to AUB's University

At the invitation of AUB's University for Seniors, APN's president Eng. Razan Zuayter presented a lecture titled “Palestine and Green Resistance” on November 30th, 2021, in which she reviewed the organization's The Million Tree Campaign achievements held in Palestine, via zoom.

“APN” Participates "Zain" in Reopping its Forest

The Arab Group for the Protection of Nature planted 1000 trees to announce the reopening of Zain's Forest, located in Thaghrat Asfour area, Jerash Governorate, as a new partnership activity between the two institutions in order to support Jordan's ecosystem.

A Campaign to Support the Million Tree Program in Spain Receives Wide Support

As an affirmation of the universality of APN’s message and its role in sending the voice of Palestinian farmers to all over the world, the Islamic Fundraising Foundation, located in Spain, has launched a fundraising campaign for "The Million Tree" program, organized by APN, which aims to support Palestinian farmers, by planting fruit trees, to stand steadfast in the face of the repeated occupation attacks on his land.

HRH Prince El-Hassan bin Talal Praises the Efforts of APN

The Arab Group for the Protection of Nature received a thank you letter from His Royal Highness Prince El Hassan Bin Talal, in which he praised the society's efforts in protecting the environment of the Arab region and serving various agricultural issues.

For the eighth year in a row, the Bank of Jordan and The Arab Group for the Protection of Nature renewed their partnership by planting 500 fruitful trees ranging from olives to citrus and almonds, in Madaba and the Northern Jordan Valley, and SOS Children's Villages Association in Amman, as part of various activities during 2021.

BBC Hosts Eng. Zuayter to Discuss the Causes of Hunger in the Arab Region

“Can people die of hunger?”  This question was the opening remark of "Dunyana"'s episode on Wednesday, December 15th,2021, broadcasted on BBC. Eng. Zuayter, APN Chairman of the Board, was hosted along with Abeer Etefa, the spokesperson for the World Food Program (WFP) in the Middle East and North Africa, and Basheer Omar, the spokesperson for the International Committee of the Red Cross.

Senator Dr. Akif al-Zoubi Thanks APN 

The Arab Group for the Protection of Nature received a thank you note from the Chairman of the Committee on Agriculture and Water in the Senate, Senator Dr. Akif al-Zoubi, where he complimented the group’s efforts in servicing the agriculture and food sector, in addition to its part in “supporting farmers in Palestine and planting trees to protect the land and farmers in facing the Zionists plans to seize the land and uproot the Palestinians from their lands”.

APN and “Kulna Ahl”, a New Initiatives Aiming to Reinforce Food Security

With the Jordan Ahli Bank’s support, and as part of the “Kulna Ahl” volunteering program, The Arab Group for the Protection of Nature planted 200 citrus, almond, olive, and grape fruitful trees in Jordan valleys and the SOS Children's Village Amman land during this year.

APN Aims to Revive the Implementation of the "Arab Tree Path" Project.

Eng. Razan Zuayter, APN Chairman of the Board, spoke at the meeting of the Arab League’s Sub-Committee on the Eradication of Hunger in the Arab Region of the Arab League, on Thursday, December 9, 2021, and renewed her invitation on behalf of APN for the assembled Arab countries, towards the proposed “Arab Tree Path”, and announced her willingness to create a partnership with five different Arab countries in accordance with the criteria of the project.

APN and Ideal Solutions Company Rehabilitate Lands in the West Bank

APN with the support of Ideal Solutions Company, planted 2,000 trees in the villages of Al-Khader and Ni’lin in the governorates of Bethlehem and Ramallah, benefiting 14 farmers, who support 97 individuals, during January 2021.

A New Partnership Between APN and Careem

In light of the first cooperative activity between Careem and APN, 200 fruitful trees were planted in the central valleys in Wadi Al-Hawarat to close of 2021 by giving back and contributing to nature, under the name of “Kun Careem” which translates to "Be Generous".

A New Partnership Agreement Set Between “APN” and "LOYAC"

The Arab Group for the Protection of Nature, represented by its Co-Founding Member and Chairperson, Eng. Hassan Al Jaajaa, agreed with LOYAC,  a nonprofit organization working towards overall youth development, which was represented by the organization’s president in Lebanon, Mrs. Nadia Farhat, to formulate joint action requirements for planting trees in Lebanon, by targeting low-income farmers who have access to small holdings in which they wish to plant.

APN Plants 1000 Fruitful Trees with the Support of Ghiath and Nadia Sukhtian

As part of “The Million Tree” Program in Palestine, The Arab Group for the Protection of Nature with the support of Ghiath and Nadia Sukhtian planted 1,000 fruitful trees of olives and citrus, across 27 dunums in Ramallah and the Palestinian Valley, with the aim of enhancing food security for 13 agricultural families consisting of 92 individuals.

APN and "Velida" Company Plant Thousands of Fruitful Trees for the Benefit of Jordanian Farmers

With great enthusiasm, The Arab Group for the Protection of Nature finished the project of planting 4,000 trees throughout the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, supported by “Velida” company. More than 50 of the company’s employees participated in this activity, which took place in the Central Jordan Valley on October 16 October 2021.

APN Plants Trees in the Second Oldest Town in the World with support of Dar Al-Handasah

As part of “The Million Tree” program in Palestine, The Arab Group for the Protection of Nature, with the support of Dar Al-Handasah Company DAR, planted 500 various fruitful trees, across 12 dunums in the town of Sa’ir in Hebron, which is considered the second oldest town in the world after Jericho, with the aim of enhancing food security for three families of 24 people.

“APN” and “Jerusalem Insurance” Plant Lemons in the Jordan Valley

On Tuesday October 12th, 2021, APN’s Green Caravan planted in the Hawarat area - the Central Jordan Valley, with the support of Jerusalem Insurance Company, in a new step to enhance the principle of food security and support farmers in the Jordan Valley.

FAO Delegates APN to Organize the Consultative Meeting for Civil Society Organizations

Confirming APN's main impact in influencing environmental issues decision making in the region, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) delegated The Arab Group for the Protection of Nature (APN) to coordinate and organize a Consultative CSO Meeting, priot to holding the upcoming ministerial meeting (NERC 36), in which three candidates from Maghreb, North Africa and West Asia will participate.

Petra Engineering Industries Company Starts a New Partnership with APN

APN Signs a Statement Opposing  the World Trade Organization

The Arab Group for the Protection of Nature (APN), represented by its President, Eng. Razan Zuayter, took the initiative to sign a statement opposing the World Trade Organization’s (WTO) activities and their negative impact on the agricultural sector, particularly on countries located in the south.

An Introductory Corner for the "Plant Your Resilience" Campaign in AlRidwan Schools

Within the Olive Festival, which had the slogan “Its oil is almost shining” AlRidwan Schools held on November 21, 2021, an introductory corner for the “Plant Your Resilience” campaign, which The Arab Group for the Protection of Nature holds annually within the Million Tree Program.
