In collaboration with the Greater Amman Municipality and the support of Standard Chartered Bank, on Saturday 20 September 2014, APN cultivated 500 olive trees in the garden of Khalid ibn al-Walid in the south of Marka in Amman to enhance food security for the people of the region.

After much effort and preparation, APN embraced Environment Zone at the New Think Festival. The festival took place between 5-6 September 2014 at the King Husain Business Park. With APN’s lead global civil society participated in the first session of negotiations for the Agenda for Action for Addressing Food Insecurity in Protracted Crises at the Food and Agriculture Organization headquarters in Rome from July 29 - August 1, 2014. Representatives of civil society made many interventions and influenced the course of negotiations. Members were able to make many alliances with organizations and individuals in Asia, Europe and Latin America.

Civil society preparatory meeting for negotiations of the Committee on World Food Security (CFS)

APN organized a preparatory meeting for the Civil Society Mechanism (CSM) on July 27 to 28, 2014 in Rome to approve the interventions that were given by the CSM during the CFS session on the Agenda for Action Addressing Food Security in Protracted Crises to be ratified by member states in October 2015.

APN was a guest of the Dardashat television program during the activities at the New Think Festival. Razan Zuaiter represented the group in a panel discussion titled "To Feed Ourselves or Wait to be Feed". APN participates in a specialized course for GIS for Biodiversity Monitoring and Evaluation

Volunteer Maha Huwaidi participated in an introductory course for GIS for Biodiversity Monitoring and Evaluating held by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN -ROWA) at the Kempinski Hotel in Aqaba August 31 to September 3, 2014.  Sixteen participants from Jordan, Lebanon and Palestine attended the session.

APN begins preparations for the celebration of the Third Million Trees Campaign launch

APN has begun preparing for its annual ceremony which will celebrate the end of the first two Million Trees Campaigns in Palestine and the launch of the third campaign.Donations will be collected for the implementation of APN’s relief campaign to support the agricultural sector in the Gaza Strip after the events of the last assault which caused damage in excess of 550 million dollars to the agricultural sector alone in the Gaza Strip.
