Despite the many changes to daily life that were brought about by COVID19, APN has launched its activities that fall under the Green Caravan (GC) program for this year. APN worked with the Madaba Women's Charity Association and with support from the Jordan Commercial Bank (JCB) to plant 214 in Al Fayhaa in Madaba (October 7 2020).

The lands of three separate farmers were cultivated with olive trees, almonds, citrus fruits, grapes, and figs as part of the activity which was supported by the Jordan Commercial Bank (JCB).

APN General Manager Mariam Jaajaa indicated that there needs to be more interest in agriculture and empowering farmers in the Kingdom to enhance food security, especially with what our experiences with COVID19 have revealed about the importance of serious work in this regard.

APN began implementing the Green Caravan (GC) program in 2003 intending to increase the green cover and empower small farmers who are the building block in strengthening Jordan's food basket. The program has succeeded in planting more than 110,000 trees to date in the Kingdom.
