"Plant Your Homeland" campaign was launched by APN as part of its Green Caravan program in partnership with Dahab radio station on Thursday (10th of October) to support small-scale Jordanian farmers.

The year-long campaign seeks to plant 6,000 fruit-bearing trees in the land of farmers who are unable to invest in their lands. Targeted farmers look forward to supporting Jordan's agricultural sector, promoting national product, enhancing food security, and raising environmental awareness among citizens regarding the importance of agriculture and its role in combating climate change.

Mariam Al Jaajaa, APN’s General Manager, expressed her pride in partnering with Dahab, stressing the importance of the campaign in providing an additional source of income for small-scale farmers, especially those who need the basic tools to continue caring for their land. She also highlighted the need for everyone to come together to prevent farmers from selling their lands due to financial insecurities.

Tarek Abu-Lughod, General Manager of the Arab Media Network, pointed out the importance of media organizations in taking their role towards the society in all its sectors, especially the agricultural sector that is directly linked to our food and natural resources. He also encouraged the private sector to engage and actively participate in the campaign.

Dahab radio station allocated its program the "Ninth Circle", presented by Mr. Omar Kullab, to talk about “Plant Your Homeland” campaign on the day of its launch. The campaigners called on citizens to donate and contribute to the rehabilitation of agricultural lands through planting trees, where one tree costs five Jordanian Dinars.
