APN and the Sameer Project have joined efforts with Gaza’s beekeepers to cultivate a growing success story in life and resistance to the ongoing genocide.
In November 2025, we began supporting six beekeepers tending 52 beehives. Within just a few months, that number had more than doubled, reaching 132 hives. Beyond numbers, this outcome reflects the shared ability of both the land and people to recover when provided with locally-grounded support.
Each hive is estimated to produce around 10 kilograms of honey, offering a key source of income for six families and supporting them to regain a degree of economic stability and independence.
Supporting the beekeeping sector in Gaza today helps restore agricultural diversity and, in turn, food diversity – sustaining families amid the siege and keeping them rooted in their land.
Join us in reviving Gaza’s farmland.
