APN, together with a group of partners, launched a new project in Palestine to plant 8,580 fruit trees in villages under urgent threat from colonial violence and forced displacement. Through this initiative, we planted 645 fruit trees, including 370 grape and almond trees, across two plots of land in the Jurat ash-Sham'a area of Bethlehem. The first plot is bordered by a colonial bypass road, functioning to isolate and suffocate the village, while the second plot has been subject to recent settler attacks that resulted in the destruction of many trees.

We planted an additional 275 almond trees in Halhul for two local farmers as part of ongoing efforts to support Palestinian farmers in safeguarding their agricultural land.

Farmers in both areas continue to endure repeated violations and deliberate settler attacks on their land, crops, and property. Yet, like the trees they plant, they remain steadfast.
