At Al-Qastal Girls’ Secondary School, APN’s “If Only You Knew” team partnered with SIT-Jordan’s Geopolitics Studies program to turn the school garden into a vibrant space of life and learning. Together, volunteers and students planted 20 olive trees and 70 rosemary seedlings.

The day began with volunteers clearing the area, sweeping away trash to make room for new growth. Then the students split into groups: some dug, planted, and watered, while others painted educational games on the walkways, turning the schoolyard into a space for students to play, practise numbers and enjoy the greenery.

The team also delivered an interactive workshop, teaching students how to plan irrigation systems and create design layouts. By the end of the day, it was not only plants that had been sown, but also a sense of curiosity, creativity, and connection to the land among students.
