APN | Hebron
9–17 March 2026
The town of Al-Shuyukh, located northeast of Hebron, spans approximately 22,019 dunums, including land that has been confiscated by the Israeli Occupation since 1976, according to the Palestinian Encyclopedia. Nearly half of this land has been seized, while 9,000 dunums of the town’s land are agricultural, bordering the village of Sa’ir.
Today, Al-Shuyukh faces unabated settlement expansion, particularly in Jorat Al-Kheil and Wadi Sa’ir. Farmers endure repeated settler attacks and military incursions marked by tear gas, the bulldozing of land, the burning of homes, and direct assaults against the community.
Unwavering in the face of colonial brutality against land and life, APN continues its field interventions, grounded in the belief that supporting farmers forms a vital line of defense in villages contending settlement expansion. Strengthening farmers’ ability to remain on their land not only safeguards livelihoods, but also sustains local food production in the face of mounting violence and siege tactics.
With the support of Hikma Pharmaceuticals, 2,000 fruit trees were planted across 47.5 dunums, benefiting 16 farmers who support 98 family members in Al-Shuyukh. Beyond cultivation, our agricultural initiatives reinforce steadfastness by anchoring self-sufficient production and securing farmers’ continued presence on their land.
