In celebration of Earth Day, APN, together with Bank al Etihad, planted 400 fruit trees in Deir Alla in the central Jordan Valley, reinforcing their long-standing partnership.

The initiative was carried out through our Green Caravan programme, bringing together 40 of the Bank’s employees and clients to plant a variety of citrus trees for a local woman farmer. The initiative aims to enhance land productivity, create a sustainable source of income, and strengthen women’s role in the agricultural economy.

Additionally, the trees are projected to absorb around 8.68 tonnes of carbon dioxide annually and produce enough oxygen to support nearly 800 people, contributing to broader environmental health and climate action efforts.

This initiative is part of an ongoing strategic partnership that channels banking-sector support into agricultural projects that generate lasting value, supporting food sovereignty and creating sustained economic and environmental benefits for rural communities.

Plant with us.
