The people of Al-Jizah area of central Badia, located on the southern outskirts of Amman, are steadfast in their commitment to their lands, resisting any move closer to the city center. They firmly believe that cultivating the land will benefit them regardless of economic constraints, as agriculture is essential for ensuring food security and generating sustainable income for their families. With the backing of Jordan Ahli Bank and in collaboration with the Al Thura Agricultural Association, the Green Caravan programme recently planted 200 olive trees for four local families. This initiative saw the participation of 20 volunteers from the bank, who collectively sponsored 500 trees. The remaining trees will be planted in the subsequent phase of the project.
