The Green Caravan programme in Jordan marked the end of 2025 with a series of impactful achievements, reflecting the strength of sustained collaboration between national institutions, private-sector partners, and dedicated volunteers. These joint efforts played a key role in supporting Jordanian farmers, enhancing food sovereignty, and fostering a culture of collective responsibility and active community engagement across the Kingdom.
Over the course of the year, the programme planted thousands of fruit trees, including olives, stone fruits, and citrus, across regions such as Souf, the Northern Jordan Valley, Kuraymah, Al Amiriyah, and Badr. Additionally, local wheat cultivation provided practical support to farming families who rely on their land as a primary source of livelihood.
Key achievements included:
- In partnership with Jordan Kuwait Bank, 500 stone fruit trees were planted in Souf to strengthen the livelihoods of local farmers who support 18 family members, along with 300 citrus trees planted in the Northern Jordan Valley.
- Twenty-one volunteers joined APN in planting 550 citrus trees in Kuraymah with support from Zain.
- Together with the Bank of Jordan and the Wadi Al Thurah Agricultural Association, 50 employees volunteered to help plant 500 local olive trees in Al Amiriyah to support a local farmer.
- In the Al Amiriyah - Al Jizah area, 500 local olive trees were planted in collaboration with Bank ABC, the Wadi Al Thurah Agricultural Association, and bank employees and their families.
- In partnership with Tamam Foods Company, 500 fruit trees of both olive and stone fruit varieties were planted to support two farming families in Souf.
- Five hundred kilograms of local wheat were cultivated on an eight dunum plot of land in the Badr area.
- In cooperation with the Amman International Film Festival, 426 fruit trees were planted for four farmers in different regions of the Kingdom, including the Jordan Valley, Jerash, and Badr, including a rich variety of stone fruits, citrus and olives.
- In partnership with Bank al Etihad and the Ayasel Badr Association, 370 stone fruit trees were planted to serve six farming families in the Badr area.
- Two hundred citrus and guava trees were planted in Kuraymah in collaboration with STS, supporting two farming families.
- In cooperation with the National Bank of Jordan and the Ayasel Badr Association, 200 mixed fruit trees were planted in the Badr area to enhance the livelihoods of several farmers collectively responsible for 15 family members.
- In partnership with Wiley, 200 fruit trees of diverse varieties were planted on land belonging to two families in the Badr area.
- 140 citrus and guava trees were planted on farmers’ lands in the Northern Jordan Valley in collaboration with the Arab Center for Engineering Studies.
- Students from the International Academy took part in planting 132 fruit trees on a farmer’s land in the Badr area, offering meaningful support to him and his family.
- In a heartfelt gesture, the family of the late Fawaz Abu Tayeh helped to plant 125 fruit trees in the Badr area as an enduring act of giving in his memory.
- Members of the Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO) and their families joined an olive-harvesting activity to support a farmer in the Badr area.
- Volunteers from the Housing Bank took part in a citrus-harvesting initiative across several farms in the North Shuna area.
