APN Project Manager, Mohammad Qtaishat, spoke about the organisation’s strategy during the genocide in Gaza. He highlighted the achievements made on the ground to strengthen food sovereignty and seize every opportunity to revive the agricultural sector, recognising it as a vital force in confronting the war of starvation.

This came during a webinar titled “From the Targeting of Agriculture to the Threat to Life”, organised by the Institute for Palestine Studies to discuss food security in the Gaza Strip. Qtaishat also presented APN’s programmes across Palestine and its approach to achieving self-sufficiency for Palestinian villages in the face of repeated closures imposed by the Israeli occupation.

The event also addressed the methods used by the occupation to destroy the agricultural sector and dismantle food security and sovereignty, the health consequences of food insecurity, and initiatives aimed at strengthening food sovereignty despite ongoing challenges.
