Around 18 families benefited from the cultivation carried out on October 27, 2020 as part of the Green Caravan program in Madaba Governorate. Together with Safwa Islamic Bank and the Madaba Women’s Association, APN planted 630 fruit trees of different varieties alongside these families’ homes.

The plantings seek to support these families’ self-sufficiency while contributing to food security in Jordan. Speaking on the project, APN Rehabilitation Project Manager Mohammad Qtaishat stressed the role of home gardens in achieving long-lasting food sovereignty.

Safwa Islamic Bank’s fruitful relationship with APN extends beyond its work in Madaba. Earlier, the bank worked with APN and the Greater Amman Municipality to beautify the Qutayba ibn Muslim Garden in al-Hashimi al-Shamali, and provide fresh air for its visitors through new plantings.
