The people of Kafr ad-Dik have been firsthand witnesses to the continuous expansion of the Ari’el settlement, which was established in 1978 on the lands of Salfit Governorate. The settlement has progressively annexed 76% of Kafr ad-Dik, which falls within Area "C" according to the administrative division. These lands have received significant focus from APN, particularly through the Million Tree Campaign, aimed at safeguarding them against confiscation.

The villagers have endured relentless harassment from the settlers, and even the trees have fallen victim to their destructive actions. Take, for instance, the case of farmer Abdul Rahim, whose land became the target of settler violence. On his 17-dunum plot, Israeli settlers uprooted 258 olive trees, aged between 4 to 5 years. This land, already under the looming threat of confiscation, suffered a significant loss. In response to this incident, APN’s team visited the village to support the exceptional resilience of the farmer by replanting 258 trees as compensation for his loss.

Thanks to the generous contribution from Hamdi Idrees and Sons Company, this initiative has restored hope in the farmer's heart, prompting him to chant, "While they will leave, we will remain steadfast." Encouraged by this successful endeavor, additional activities are being planned with the continued support of the company.
