APN General Manager, Mariam Al Jaajaa, participated in the 9th Global Land Tool Network (GLTN) Partners Meeting, which took place on 3 May 2023 in a hybrid format. The primary objective of the meeting was to exchange information on the achievements, challenges, and lessons learned gained from the Arab Land Initiative – a joint Initiative to promote good land governance in the Arab region.

In her intervention, Al Jaajaa highlighted APN's comprehensive study titled "Land and Conflict in the Arab Region”, conducted in collaboration with UN-Habitat and the Global Land Tool Network (GLTN). This pioneering study examined the relationship between land and conflict in the Arab region. Covering eleven countries and featuring twelve case studies, the study presented authentic local perspectives on conflicts by drawing upon the expertise of specialists and the firsthand experiences of affected communities.
