Jenin governorate possesses an agricultural distinctiveness with a diverse landscape ranging from plains to mountains, allowing for a variety of essential crops such as grains, almonds, fruits, olives, and more. This remarkable diversity makes it an integral part of Marj Ibn Amir, the Palestinian food basket, which the occupation has deprived us of.

The distinctiveness of the region, well-known to its inhabitants, has rendered the lands of "Arrabet Jenin" constantly vulnerable to threats from nearby settlements and occupation forces. The objective behind these threats is the confiscation of land and the displacement of Palestinians, particularly concerning the town's expansive area of approximately 40,000 dunums, with agriculture encompassing 93% of it.

As a result, APN identified the town as one of the priority agricultural locations in 2023. As part of the Million Tree Campaign, APN planted 200 citrus and olive trees on a piece of land owned by a struggling agricultural family in Arrabet Jenin. This effort comes at a crucial time when the occupation is threatening to confiscate their land, offering them a glimmer of hope amidst their economic hardships.

Thanks to the generous contribution made by Mrs. Jumana Al-Saket, these trees have played a crucial role in supporting the family's resilience on their land and provided them with a sustainable source of income.
