The plight of farmers in the Southern Jordan Valley has intensified due to the decline of agricultural investment in the region and its neglect. Recognizing the necessity of standing alongside local communities and contributing to their empowerment in revitalizing Jordan's food basket, and in response to the farmers' call, APN's Green Caravan (GC), with the support of Zain Jordan, set out to empower 11 agricultural families with production inputs including fruit-bearing trees and irrigation networks.

Through this remarkable initiative, 700 citrus and guava fruit trees were distributed and planted on land belonging to 8 families, benefiting more than 40 individuals. These tree selections are well-suited to the local environment, provide an economic return to the farmers, and serve as a valuable food source.

Additionally, 4 farming families benefited from the distribution of 12,800 meters of GR drip line irrigation networks. These families, consisting of 25 individuals, will be able to optimally irrigate their lands, conserving water during the summer season and reducing water loss from evaporation by regulating irrigation times and quantities.

It is worth mentioning that the partnership between APN and Zain Jordan has been ongoing for a period of 5 years.
