The “Green Grape Tent”, a popular grape market in south of Bethlehem, witnessed a productive involvement with APN as farmers of Al Khader produced substantial amounts of grape boxes as part of the “Million Tree” Program in Palestine.

The tent included a variety of grapes, which generally constitute 30% of the total West Bank production annually. Governor of Bethlehem, Kamel Hameed, attended this activity that was sponsored by the Al Khader Municipality and the Chamber of Commerce (24 September).

It is important to note that APN has supported farmers in cultivating almost 1000 dunams of agricultural land in Al Khader town. Jaafar Assi, an Al Khader farmer, stated that farmers mainly depend on grape trees highlighting the importance of APN’s constant support, especially in light of occupation harassments against vineyards adjacent to settlement borders.

APN strives to continue its support of  Palestinian farmers in order to strengthen their resilience in their lands, especially those threatened by settlements. The three-day tent aims at marketing Palestinian grapes and its products and encouraging people to purchase them.
