In September the Donia el Sahafa program hosted Razan Zuayter, President of the APN. She spoke about the association, its programs and activities, and the initiative to form the Arab Network for Food Sovereignty. She also spoke about the Civil Society Consultation on Food Security and Nutrition, which was held in Amman in September.

Zuayter spoke about the importance of the conference, which aims to bring together Arab civil society on issues related to agriculture in order to unify positions to be communicated to governments and international organizations. 

She explains that the conference is commissioned by FAO in collaboration with the Arab Network for Food Sovereignty, the Committee on Food Security, the World Food Programme, the World Fund for Agricultural Development, and the International Civil Society Mechanism.

She pointed to the role of the major powers in the perpetuation of wars and conflicts to control the wealth of third world countries.Jordan TV covered the conference in a newscast on the 13th of September while hosting Zuayter who spoke of the danger of the marginalization of agriculture in the Arab World.
