For the last forty years, the aggressive growth of Ma'ale Shomron settlement has encroached upon the lands of multiple villages in the Qalqilya governorate. This expansion is a result of the occupation's deliberate tactics to dispossess lands, imposing daily restrictions on Palestinian farmers and coercing them to relinquish their uncultivated lands. Utilizing such methods, the Israeli authorities invoke the Absentee Property Law to seize extensive areas of the besieged province, which is now home to 19 settlements.

In the heart of the province, the people of Qalqilya recognize the importance of taking action to safeguard their livelihoods, and secure their existence amidst the ongoing struggle over their lands. In response to this call, APN plants 200 citrus trees, contributed by Mr. Haitham Atteyeh and his family, to support a farmer who aspires that his harvest will reach Jordan and the Gulf.
