Kicking off our 2026 activities, we launched multiple projects to plant 7,650 fruit trees across various areas in Jordan, of which 1,550 fruit trees have already been planted in collaboration with several partners under the Green Caravan program.
In partnership with the Amman International Film Festival, we distributed 500 fruit trees - including local olive varieties, stone fruits, citrus, figs, and other types - to 12 families in the Badr area with the support of the Asayel Badr Association. Each tree is expected to absorb approximately 21.7 kg of carbon dioxide annually, bringing the total carbon absorption of this batch to around 10.85 tons of CO₂. Over time, they will also generate enough oxygen to support more than 1,000 people, delivering measurable environmental and developmental impacts.
We also carried out planting activities across several areas of the southern Jordan Valley, in cooperation with the Southern Jordan Valley Agriculture Directorate and the Asia Association for Environmental Development, which included planting 900 citrus and guava trees for seven farmers in the Ghor as-Safi area. Another activity involved planting 326 citrus trees in the northern Jordan valley for seven families supporting 60 individuals, across 8 dunums, in collaboration with the Northern Jordan Valley Agriculture Directorate.
Additionally, we planted 150 fruit trees, mostly local olive varieties, a 3-dunum plot belonging to a family of five in Khan Al-Zabeeb - Al-Jizah. This initiative was implemented in partnership with KEO, whose employees joined the effort on the ground, planting the trees themselves.
